Meet the CORE team

CORE is the brainchild of Greg Dryer, one of the UK's leading physical educators.

For the last 10 years, Greg has worked in higher education mainly focusing on teacher education in PE. He has led secondary and primary specialist cohorts as well as delivered all the initial PE teacher education to primary trainees at the UCL Institute of Education, London South Bank, Goldsmiths and London Metropolitan Universities.

Greg is a member of the Youth Sport Trust's National Faculty for which he delivers various CPD courses for primary school teachers and coaches. He is also Programme Director for LeapStart, an organisation that delivers PE in schools across India to over 150,000 children each week.

His research examines policy and practice in physical education and youth sport, and whether or not it supports long term participation. His area of specialism is curriculum design and delivery, and his new PE programme offers a breakthrough approach to ensuring every child can make progress in PE and sport.

Before working in Higher Education, Greg was Head of PE at three large inner London schools having graduated from the University of Warwick.

In 2004 he established mi sport to practice what he preaches, and to explore the effectiveness of various programmes and pedagogical approaches.
