Graduation ceremonies for Kingston University students

We look forward to celebrating the successes of our new and upcoming graduates at in-person ceremonies this year.

Our summer graduations will take place between 15 and 26 July 2024.

More information will be sent to graduates 2 to 3 months before the ceremonies take place.

Ceremonies

You will receive an invitation email from the graduations team confirming the date, time and location in due course. You are advised not to make any travel or accommodation arrangements until you have received this email.

Tickets

You must book your tickets via OSIS when you have received the invitation email from the graduations team. The graduate's ticket is free. You can purchase up to two tickets for your guests in the first instance.

Gowns

We encourage graduates to wear academic dress – gown, hood and hat. It's not compulsory, but most graduates choose to dress up. You need to book your gown in advance, and further information on how to do this will be in your invitation email.

Photography

You can take photos at the ceremony but we also have a photographer on site. No need to book or pay in advance – just turn up two hours before your ceremony to join the photo queue.

Vote of Thanks

A three-minute speech, The Vote of Thanks is given by a graduate during their awards ceremony at the Rose Theatre to thank the people who have contributed to their success.

Souvenirs

To make your graduation day all the more memorable, you may want to order an official Kingston University souvenir. View the range provided by Union of Kingston Students.
