An evening with Barbara Taylor

Barbara Taylor is Professor in the Schools of History and English & Drama at Queen Mary and Westfield. Her previous post, which she had held since 1993, was in History at the University of East London.  She is an intellectual and cultural historian with a special interest in the subjective dimension of historical change. She has run a Leverhulme-funded international research project on feminism and Enlightenment. Her publications include Mary Wollstonecraft and the Feminist Imagination (CUP) and her acclaimed memoir The Last Asylum published in 2014. She is currently researching attitudes to solitude in Enlightenment Britain.
