Decent Jobs and Wage-led Growth in the UK and Europe

The University of Greenwich Political Economy Research Centre welcomes you to a day conference entitled Decent Jobs and Wage-led Growth in the UK and Europe, where we will present the findings of two new research projects on Wage-Led Growth in Europe? Effects of Changes in Income Distribution and Financialization on Growth and Working Conditions in Ireland.

Speakers include John McDonnell MP; Professor Ozlem Onaran from the Greenwich Political Economy Research Centre, co-author of the report Wage-led growth in Europe; Professor Engelbert Stockhammer from Kingston University, co-author of the report Financialisation and the demand effects of changes in functional income distribution in the EU; Professor James Wickham and Dr Alicja Bobek of TASC, co-authors of the report Working Conditions in Ireland; Professor Francis Green of the Institute of Education and co-author of the book Unequal Britain at Work; and Dr. Geoff Tily of the Trade Union Congress.
