Integrity Research Group seminar series: Analysing the prospective effects of EU Timber Regulation in the UK

Nainesh Patel, member of the Integrity Research Group and PhD candidate at Kingston Law School, will present the outcomes of his research on the likely effects of the EUTR in the UK, in the attempt to identify how the law of developed countries that are timber consumers can save the forests in other developing countries that are timber producers.

The main aim of Nainesh's research is to assess the application of EUTR in controlling illegal timber and timber products entering in the UK and to identify technical and operational inadequacies. To this end, an empirical study with stakeholders and qualitative analysis have been conducted.

Booking is essential to attend this event.
