An evening with Political Readings and Discussion

Please join us for the new season of the Kingston Writing School Reading and Lecture Series.

Following Brexit and the US presidential election, MFA graduates Francesca Lo Basso & Lauren Merin will read excerpts from revolutionary texts - writings that have had socio-political impact. The readings will be followed by a discussion about the ways such texts engendered social change as well as what creative writers can do to affect constructively the current political climate.

The evening will also feature two short videos by Bristol University grad and artist/filmmaker Maren Hahnfeld, documenting her time as a visiting student with a farming family in Idaho.

Refreshments will be served from 6.30pm and the lecture will begin at 7pm. All are welcome.
