Please join us for the new season of the Kingston Writing School Reading and Lecture Series as we welcome John Davies, poet, and Bedia Ceylan Güzelce, writer.
John Davies has published several books: The Nutter in the Shrubbery (Pighog, 2002), Glove Poems (Editions Fuscus, 2016), Shedman (Pighog, 2008), and Our Storeys: Art & Poetry in Healthcare (with artist Sue Ridge, Pighog, 2014). Jizz, a poetry collection, is forthcoming from Kingston University Press. John has been published in The Guardian, The Irish Examiner, The Echo Room and Poetry South East. He was recently the first non-Irish editor of The Stony Thursday Book (Limerick Arts, 2017).
Bedia Ceylan Güzelce's first novel 1473, after being published in Turkey, translated into Arabic and published in Lebanon, will be published in English by Kingston University Press in 2017. Her second novel All Quarters of the Sky was published in 2015. She has written movie scripts and theatre plays and worked in media and journalism. She also produces and hosts documentaries about history and culture and has given a TEDx speech about Y and X generations.
Refreshments will be served from 6.30pm and the lecture will begin at 7.00pm. All are welcome.
