Integrity Research Group seminar series: Organising Integrity - field notes on developing moral learning processes within governmental organisations

Julien Topal will provide a sketch of how his organisation builds integrity systems within (governmental) organizations. A sustainable system is built on two pillars - a carefully crafted compliance practice and a moral learning process. The focus in his talk will be on the developing a moral learning process.

Julien Topal (PhD) is a trainer/adviser on integrity for Governance & Integrity (G&I) and the founding executive director of the Foundation for Integrity and AntiCorruption (FFIAC). Before his work for G&I and FFIAC, Julien was an Adjunct Professor in Ethics at William Paterson University in New Jersey, USA and a Lecturer in Political Philosophy at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He also contributed to the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment at Columbia University, NY as a research associate. A graduate from the University of Amsterdam, Julien holds a doctorate in social and political science from the European University Institute, Florence, Italy.
