Transparentism: The end of critique

Please join us for a research seminar hosted by the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy.

Emmanuel Alloa discusses the ideal of transparency and its civilizing promises. He argues that the notion of potential surveillance suffices for it to be effective: disciplinary measures are being replaced by self-discipline. Transparentism raises the spectre of the end of critique.
