What?
Last year, we invited learning disability services from all over the UK to take part in a survey exploring whether and how support staff talk about death and dying with the people they support. We received over 700 responses! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share the findings with you, and also hope to hear your thoughts and views on our way forward.
Who for?
All the participants of this study, the researchers, the collaborators, and all those who have an interest in the topic of talking about dying. This includes service providers, health and social care staff, support workers, families/carers, and people with learning disabilities themselves.
What can I expect?
You can expect a day of workshop style events with opportunities for knowledge sharing. We have invited parents, people with learning disabilities, and support staff to share their personal stories on talking about dying
Booking is essential to attend this event.
