Previous studies on replacing the carboxylic acid function in GPR40 agonists have demonstrated that potency can be maintained but we have explored novel molecules. Using open source bioinformatics tools (AutoDock Vina, LigPlot and DescriptionPyMOL), we have docked and analysed candidate molecules bearing a wide range of carboxylic acid bioisosteres into complex with GPR40 using the GW9508 template.
Booking is essential to attend this event.
