Kingston Business School's premium Strategy into Practice seminar series is designed to give you the opportunity to gain insights of strategy within business and not-for-profit corporations.
You will hear first-hand accounts from top executives on strategic challenges in their industry and how they strategically steer their organisation to compete successfully and deal with complex issues such as international growth, innovation and corporate social responsibilities.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and network after each session with the speaker, other local business leaders and academic staff from Kingston Business School.

Mark established London City Group as CEO in 2017, a business consultancy company who specialises in business brokerage and finance for SMEs. London City Group owns the Transworld Business Advisors franchise in the City of London, who are the worlds largest network of brokers offering turnkey solutions for companies and their owners aspiring to build a solid business and future. Transworld Business Advisors was established in 1979 and quickly grew to the largest business brokerage in the U.S. and now the world.
Mark has over 30 years' experience as a C level Director within the financial services industry as a merchant banking and asset management professional who specialises in the management of multi-disciplinary financial institutions and from an investing perspective in restructuring and turnaround of corporates with over 1,000 investments made and realised.
Prior to starting London City Group, Mark was the former owner and CEO of MTeam, establishing and managing the London and Hong Kong offices, raising nearly $100mn following the last crisis in 2009 which was deployed into the Asian and European special situations markets. Prior to that, Mark was the former Managing Director of Asia Pacific and Europe for the Principal Investment Group of Merrill Lynch, where he established and ran the highly profitable European and Asian team between 2002 and 2008.
Mark joined Standard Bank as CIO in 1992, where he was responsible for running of non-investment grade portfolios and a year later became a member of the Standard Bank Executive Committee. He was the CEO of Standards's Asian operations between 1992 and 1995 – the youngest CEO of a regulated bank in Hong Kong but with operations across the region too.
Mark attended Nottingham Trent University (Accounting and Finance) before graduating from Kingston with his MBA in 1990. Mark is a qualified Accountant.
