Behavioural Science at work: an introduction

In this workshop you will be introduced to the experimental research strategy in more details and how it may be applied to work and business psychology issues. Its application will be illustrated with various behavioural measures (risk-taking, reaction times, video recording, eye-tracking) and research topics (risk taking, cognitive performance, and problem-solving). The session will conclude with a discussion of the advantages and limitations of behavioural science and the experimental research strategy approach as well as suggestions for those interested in learning more about this approach. As part of the workshop, you will be given the opportunity to go on a guided visit the Behavioural Science Lab and take part in a clerical computer performance study.
