Improving one's business resilience with Business Agility

Business Agility has recently become the talk of the town as a new paradigm synonymous with adaptability and resilience in the face of rapid change. The premise is, if your business is flexible enough to absorb internal and external shocks or, better still, harness them, it can survive and thrive in circumstances where other market players cannot. Yet, even though the ideas and principles underpinning the concept have been known for a long time, one needs a systematic look to make it work as a whole for their organisation in a broad number of practical scenarios.

The event will briefly introduce the concept of Business Agility and its specific domains and aspects. We shall then link these domains and aspects to selected approaches and practices that enable organisations to survive and prosper in the short- and long-term perspective. The audience will be able to get a broader understanding of the Business Agility concept and associated practices and how these relate to their own experience. There will be an opportunity to ask questions throughout and after the talk, as well as exchange ideas with the presenter after the event.

Dr Kovela is a scholar and practitioner with expertise in a broad range of fields including Business Agility, Business IT, Project Management and Facilitation.
