Panel discussion on Interdisciplinarity in Arts and Humanities

The discussion will focus on how to negotiate interdisciplinary research in the current research landscape. While interdisciplinarity has been a buzzword for well over 20 years, it also produces some potential pitfalls in applying for grants or REF assessment: readers and peer reviewers may not have specific expertise in all the disciplinary angles that our research may take into account, and sometimes bids, publications, or REF submissions may fall through the cracks of peer review because in some ways they encompass rather too wide an interdisciplinary scope.
