Contemporary developments in social work theory

For many years, Professor Malcolm Payne's bestselling textbook on social work theory has been a vital source of knowledge for students and practitioners alike, and since 2019, he has published three other theory books.

As the profession adapts and responds to contemporary challenges such as climate change, the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis and its consequences for poverty and inequality, Professor Payne will reflect on the way social work theory has changed and moved with the times, while continuing to provide social workers with the building blocks for robust, theory-informed practice.

Booking is essential to attend this event.
