Kingston Business School is delighted to open its doors for a series of thought-provoking lectures, designed to showcase the expertise of our Visiting Professors and Fellows.
We welcome our students, staff, alumni and the wider business community to attend these exciting events and to join us for networking drinks following each lecture.
The lectures will start at 6pm on campus, with the networking reception running from 7pm-8pm.
Our first guest is Dr Elena Dieckmann, a senior teaching fellow at the Dyson School of Design Engineering, and she will be giving a lecture entitled Prototopia. It will cover different aspects and strategies prototyping ideas, products and services for the purpose of raising funding, developing innovation leadership and solving big problems of society.
About the speaker
Her specialist area is process innovation for circular materials, derived from waste or bio-feedstocks. Her main research contribution to date is the development of the world's first feather based thermal packaging material, which was launched in Europe (2018) under the brand pluumo through Aeropowder Ltd.
Elena leads the second year of the MA/MSc Innovation Design Engineering, a joint master between the Royal College of Art and Imperial College.
She helps students to develop and prototype disruptive innovations in different fields, such as sustainable material design, Products-as-a-Service (PaaS), Product design, Food Design, Logistics, Deep Tech Products and Mobility.
