Can social workers predict the future?

Online event

Judgement and decision-making are key areas of social work practice, having significant implications for the people and families receiving services. In this seminar, Dr David Wilkins will present new research into the nature of good judgement in social work, including how accurately social workers can (or cannot) make judgements about the future, and how more accurate judgements may support more effective decision-making.

The seminar will provide an opportunity to consider the potential benefits, challenges and unintended consequences of seeking to improve the accuracy of social work judgements - as well as offering participants a chance to see how their own judgement skills measure up against those of social workers who took part in the research.

Book the ticket before 16:00, 25 January 2023 (Wednesday).

Booking is essential to attend this event.
