HRM Hot Topics: Louise McKenzie, Director of Workforce Transformation, Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Kingston Business School proudly presents the HRM Hot Topics Series, an opportunity for practitioners in Human Resource Management (HRM), alumni, students and academics to come together to discuss current thinking and share experiences of applying HRM strategy in practice.

In this series, you will meet leading HRM specialists, from different sectors, from aviation, health, technology, financial services, etc. They will discuss their background (many of whom started their HRM journey at Kingston University), and their own perspective of applying HRM strategy in practice, including sector trends, key topics and challenges. The sessions are interactive, including audience Q&A, and networking drinks.

There will also be plenty of time for Q&A, followed by refreshments and networking.

This session, we welcome Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Director of Workforce Transformation - and KU alumna - Louise McKenzie.

Louise is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and holds a degree in Public Administration and Economics.

She has worked in the NHS since 1994, primarily in the acute sector, in a number of senior HR roles including Head of Operational HR at Guys & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, Director of HR at Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust, and most recently as Director of HR & OD at South London Healthcare NHS Trust.

In her previous role she was a member of the London Partnership Forum working with senior NHS managers and trade union organisations on workforce policy implementation and complex change management programmes.

Louise is also the executive sponsor of the LGBTQ+ Network.

Louise will be discussing the changing skills demand of HRM practitioners, with a lens on working in the NHS and public sector organisations.  She will highlight the skills gaps and opportunities for those working in the profession and for early careers.

Booking is essential to attend this event.
