A pre-operative education intervention to reduce anxiety and improve recovery among Chinese cardiac patients: a randomised controlled trial

A randomised controlled trial was conducted to evaluate whether a preoperative education intervention designed for Chinese cardiac patients could reduce anxiety and improve recovery.

Adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery were randomly allocated to usual care or preoperative education.

This presentation, presented by Dr Ping Guo, will look into the outcomes and evaluation of the study.

Trial registration: Current controlled trials ISRCTN87451169.
