Research project: Formulation developments and scale up of loperamide orodispersable tablets using compaction methods

Abstract

  • Develop and validate a stability-indicating HPLC method for Lopermide HCl
  • Formulate fast dissolving loperamide dosage form suitable for pediatric, geriatric and traveling patients
  • Investigating the potential of combining superdisintegrants and water-soluble excipients with Lopermide HCl using the direct compression method
  • Scale up the developed formulation to industrial batch size
