Mrs Tina Woodford

About

I have been a midwife for 27 years and have worked in a variety of clinical settings and roles, including practice development, management and consultant midwife. I am passionate about supporting and empowering women to make safe pregnancy and birth choices, and become confident parents.

I joined the midwifery team in April 2018 as a senior lecturer. I am module lead for Midwifery Profession and Practice in year 2 of the undergraduate course and co-module lead for midwifery Return to Practice and Examination of the Newborn for registered midwives.

My main focus is in clinical leadership, and how to empower students and midwives from all diversities to view themselves as leaders, and have confidence to lead change and reach career aspirations. I have completed a Royal College of Nursing programme and an MSc in this subject and plan to develop this interest through my teaching role.
