Professor Rachel Wilcock

Professor Rachel Wilcock conducts research in the area of Investigative Psychology and in particular eyewitness memory in vulnerable witnesses publishing extensively in the area and offering training to the police and other practitioners working within the Criminal Justice System. Her first lecturing post was at Kingston University in 2002 prior to moving to London South Bank University in 2005 to develop and lead a MSc in Investigative Forensic Psychology. She was promoted to Reader in 2011. In 2015 she moved to the University of Winchester and was the Faculty lead for PhD students before becoming Head of Department of Psychology between 2016 and 2022. In 2024 she returned to Kingston University as Professor of Psychology and Head of the Department of Psychology.
