Professor Souheil Khaddaj

About

I received a PhD degree from the Centre of Parallel Computing, Queen Mary College. I am a professor of computer science in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics, Kingston University - London, where I lead the Component & Distributed Systems Research Group (CODIS). My research interests include distributed computing, service orientation and big data. I have been involved in the development of novel technologies for numerous scientific and business applications. My research interests also include advanced software engineering techniques and quality assurance. I have been involved in a large number of national and international research projects and various industrial partnerships. I also chaired many international conferences and have been a keynote speaker at numerous international events. I have authored/co-authored more than 300 technical papers and I have also edited/co-edited a number of books and special issues.

I am currently teaching and leading a number of modules including Software Architectures and Programming Models (MSc Software Engineering), Software Quality Engineering (MSc Software Engineering), and Programming 1 (BSc Computer Science)

  • Over 300 papers published in leading international journals and presented at major international conferences, as well as editing around 11 books and journal special issues.
  • Involved in a large number of national and international research projects and various industrial partnerships.
  • Chaired many international conferences and he has been a keynote speaker at numerous international events.
  • Supervision to successful completion of 30 PhD students (24 as First Supervisor).
  • Current supervision of 4 PhD students.
  • Examining many PhD students and a number of MPhil and MSc by Research students (over 100 PhDs), and reviewing and commenting on a large number of PhDs.
