Creative Writing

This summer school is for creative writing enthusiasts who are looking to be inspired by close working with like-minded practitioners whilst drawing on the rich literary heritage of London.  A good working level of English is required for maximum enjoyment of this course although no previous experience of creative writing is needed to benefit from this 2-week total immersion into the craft of writing.

A programme of taught classes will be complemented by a carefully planned series of cultural visits which will supplement and bring to life the academic content. Each seminar will look in turn at a different aspect of the writing process, for example characterisation, plotting and narrative structure. By the end of course you will be equipped with a toolbox of literary techniques to help take your writing forward.
