Dr Fatima M Felisberti

Senior lecturer

About

My research as a cognitive neuroscientist is multidisciplinary. It focuses on core aspects of visual attention, emotion, cognition, evolutionary psychology, mind attribution and art. I have PhDs in Biological Cybernetics (Max Planck Institute, Germany) and Neuroscience (USP, Brazil). I worked as a postdoctoral fellow or visiting lecturer at several UK Universities (i.e. Nottingham University, King's College, City University, Royal Holloway University of London, Royal College of Art).

I joined Kingston in 2006 and set up the ECoBel laboratory (goo.gl/rRljAZ). In my lab we employ assorted methodologies to investigate human behaviour in different social environments (mostly eye tracking, tDCS, psychophysics, cognitive batteries, questionnaires and interviews).

I coordinated our Masters by Research programme for three years, published in different research areas and was supported by a few research grants (most recent: Marie S Curie grant).

I am supervising very talented PhD students and developing research projects on emotional wellbeing and mental health.
