Mrs Elinor Renfrew

Associate Professor

About

I graduated from MA Fashion at St Martin's School of Art in 1981 then taught at Edinburgh College of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

I joined Kingston as Course Director of BA Fashion in 2004 whilst Course Leader at Ravensbourne, where I received the Governor's Award for Excellence, and became Head of Department at KU in 2015 before gaining my Associate Professorship.

I have secured sponsorship and full internships with international brands Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters, Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, Inditex (Zara) and Bentalls.

I revalidated the MA Fashion course in 2007.

The BA Fashion course at Kingston, under my direction, is ranked 2nd in The Guardian Fashion & Textiles league tables and 2nd in the Business of Fashion Global School Rankings. Applications and conversions to BA Fashion are the highest in Kingston.

My popular book ‘Developing a Fashion Collection' is published by Bloomsbury.
