In 2004 I qualified with a midwifery Diploma in Germany and relocated to England in 2005 to continue my professional development. I have since worked in all areas of clinical midwifery, management and teaching staff and students. I successfully completed my Midwifery Degree in 2015 at Greenwich University. I particularly enjoyed working on the postnatal ward as Newborn examiner. In my roles as high risk midwife and being part of the bereavement team, the desire to be part of improving clinical care for women and babies grew and led to my role as clinical research midwife and principal investigator for various trials within midwifery at Kings College Hospital. I am passionate about Research and issues surrounding the ethnically diverse and ethnic minorities. In 2022 I qualified as a Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA).
I joined the Academic team at Kingston University in November 2023. I am looking forward to supporting the midwifery students in developing their midwifery skills and growing in my personal development and experience.
