This course allows you to pursue your interest in economics with a particular emphasis on practical application. This means there is less mathematics, statistics and technical theory than in traditional economics courses. You'll explore a range of areas, topics and subjects from the economic perspective.
The course will enhance your understanding of the real world by developing appropriate theories. You'll explore why people make the decisions that they do and what the consequences of those decisions are.
You will also investigate the economic role of institutions, such as markets, productive enterprises, households and government.
You can also study Applied Economics in combination with another subject.
