Why choose this course?
This interdisciplinary course focuses on the video, audio and broadcast technologies used in the television and video production industry. The course links the design and technology aspects of production, and will enable you to build up a portfolio of creative work based on your use and understanding of television and video equipment.
We aim to equip you with skills that will be useful to TV broadcasters or production companies right from the day you graduate.
What will you study?
Initially you will study the scientific principles and technologies necessary to understand video production and television studio equipment. You will then acquire an advanced knowledge and practical experience of video cameras, sound recording, studio broadcast techniques, lighting principles, video and broadcast electronics, audio and video signal processing, multimedia and internet broadcast technologies, non-linear editing, visual effects and compositing, interactive television and other relevant topics.
