MBA (2015)

Dua Al Saadi

Dua was officially appointed Team Lead Supervisor within the Risk department of Qatar Islamic Bank in July 2018, the country's first and largest Islamic financial institution. Prior to this, Dua undertook a managerial position in the Ernst and Young (EY) EMEA department.

As a lead supervisor, Dua developed strong analytical and leadership skills, successfully leading the risk team. Dua built a risk analytical model using IFRS 9 under Basel and ICAAP/stress testing to assess the riskiness of obligors and capital adequacy ratio based on Basel standards.

During her time at EY, Dua helped to establish a practice focused on private family clients, providing guidance on governance, family boards, operating model succession planning, assets management, organizational structure, funding and investment strategies. Dua successfully managed relationships with three large royal family offices whose global transaction volume exceeded $5bn during her time at EY.

Dua has built deep and lasting relationships with sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors and private family offices, advising clients on asset allocations, deal execution, balance sheet restructuring, and capital market offering (equity and debt). Dua's focus was on cross-border valuation and business models within Financial Services and Real Estate.

Dua has an MBA from Kingston University and has significant experience in supporting women's entrepreneurship initiatives through women empowerment organizations.

"The MBA gave me the strength to be more and achieve more, to truly know myself and my capabilities. I would always recommend the Kingston MBA to anyone who would aspire to become a leader."
