Implementation and Improvement Research seminar

Title: Patients and staff as co-designers of healthcare services: origins and future directions

Following an initial pilot in a head and neck cancer service in 2004, Experience-based Co-design (EBCD) has been used as a service improvement approach in many different settings and countries. Professor Robert will describe the origins of co-design approaches in the healthcare sector before exploring the different ways in which EBCD specifically has been used to improve the quality of healthcare.

The seminar will provide an opportunity to discuss how approaches like EBCD relate to concepts such as Patient and Public Involvement and co-production, as well as exploring future research directions.

Booking is essential to attend this event.
