To be eligible for a higher or degree apprenticeship, you must:
- Be employed in a relevant job for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
- Gain approval from your employer.
- Have been ordinarily resident in the UK or EEA for at least three years.
- Spend 50% of your working hours in England throughout the programme.
- Adhere to all programme-specific entry requirements.
Kingston University has a very structured plan to get the apprentices caught up to the full-time students, and provides excellent support.

European Social Fund
Apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) through a levy. Where employers do not pay into the ESFA levy, funding may be received from the European Social Fund (ESF).
