Saudi Arabia

Welcome to the country information for students from Saudi Arabia.

Meet us in the Middle East

We visit many countries in the Middle East throughout the year, especially in the autumn and spring months. Find out about our scheduled visits.

Studying in the UK

Most bachelors degrees in the UK are three years in duration and masters degrees are one year. The teaching style here means that students focus more closely on their subject of study and complete fewer general education classes and electives. This is an advantage to Saudi students because it means you can complete your degree in a shorter amount of time and therefore pay one year's less tuition. Degrees from UK universities are recognised around the world and are considered to be of the highest quality.

Safe and central location

We're located in Kingston upon Thames, a safe, attractive and lively riverside town in south-west London. Kingston is only 30 minutes by train from central London, and about an hour by public transport from Gatwick and Heathrow airports. Kingston is consistently rated the safest borough in London (Metropolitan Police Service, 2017) and the happiest place to live in London (Rightmove, 2016).

Top-quality teaching

Students from Saudi Arabia are attracted to Kingston University by its international reputation in teaching quality, supportive learning environment and proximity to London. Kingston is one of the top universities for teaching in the UK and has achieved strong results in national assessments of teaching quality. Kingston has some of the best graduate employment figures in the UK. We ensure that our courses teach you work-related skills and are relevant to today's work environment.

Kingston University has welcomed students from Bahrain into many of the degree courses across our four faculties including Business and Social Sciences; Art Design and Architecture; Science, Engineering and Computing; and Health, Social Care and Education.

Language requirements

All students from outside the United Kingdom need to meet our English language requirements. These depend on whether you are applying for pre-degree, undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Applicants from one of the recognised Majority English Speaking Countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.

If you don't achieve the required score, you may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.

What our students say

"The staff at Kingston were determined to help me to achieve.  If I had not taken my masters at Kingston I would not have had the international standing and expertise that enabled me to achieve my current position and function in my role." Mutaib Al Otaibi, MSc Human Resource Management (Saudi Arabia)

Kingston University also hosts a summer school each year, which welcomes undergraduate students from around the world who earn credits to take back home.
