Study human rights and politics

Our courses in human rights and politics are designed and delivered by academics, expert practitioners and researchers. Your learning experience is enhanced through guest lectures and seminars from leading practitioners including, politicians, charities, activists and international organisations.

These courses are informed and driven by a dynamic research culture. You will be taught by our academic team who actively publish their research in books, academic journals and commissioned reports; as well as presenting their findings at international conferences. Academic staff maintain links with international organisations, think tanks and universities across the globe, giving you access to a large postgraduate community.

You will receive a solid background in theory and analysis whilst developing the analytical skills to research and discuss contemporary issues. Through an individual project, you will be able to extend your knowledge in an area of your choice, establishing yourself as a specialist and having the opportunity to present your own research. Students graduate with the theoretical and methodological tools, hands-on experience and critical thinking necessary to solve problems and influence the future.
