I joined Kingston Business School in 2018. I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Course Director of the MSc in Business and Occupational Psychology. I have a PhD in "Organisational Psychology: Differentiation and Integration processes" from University of Verona (Italy). During my doctorate I received two international mobility grants (CooperInt) for the project entitled "Improving safety at work: the role of climates", which allowed me to complete part of my PhD at University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL, Portugal) in co-supervision of thesis and to be awarded also PhD in "Management, HR and Organisational Behaviour" from the above mentioned University.
My main research topics are on diversity, well-being and safety at work; in my doctoral research I have examined the role of different facet specific climates (Diversity Climate, Climate for Inclusion, Safety Climate and Communication Climate) on safety performance at individual and group levels in the metal and mechanical sector. I also conduct research in the main area of positive psychology, with relationship to the psychological capital components (i.e., resilience, optimism, self-efficacy) and their application to the workplace and career guidance settings.
Before joining Kingston University I have worked as a visiting lecturer in several Italian Universities from 2010 to 2015, teaching modules related to Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as working as a professional trainer for adults in the social and penitentiary sectors.
I have extensive experience as a career advisor in UK Higher Education institutions and I have also collaborated with international industries on research and consultancy projects in the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors; major achievements included the analysis and improvement of inclusion and well-being at work, which resulted in a significant decrease of injuries and accidents.
