About

I have researched in conjunction with a number of governmental and non-governmental organisations. These have included the Association for Criminal Justice Research and Development with which I have collaborated in the submission of reports to the Irish Joint Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality on the topics of community policing and restorative justice. I have also worked with the Northern Ireland Law Commission and managed  their research and consultation programmes. Previously I held the position of Lecturer in Law within the Socio and Legal Research Centre at Dublin City University. I have published widely and presented at a number of national and international conferences. I specialise in the area of criminal law, and in particular the paradigm of restorative justice. I have also interests in human rights, contract law, sentencing and law of evidence. I teach on the Contract Law, Tort Law and  Criminal Law modules and manage the Legal Advice Centre.
