About

As a Lecturer in screenwriting, I currently lead the Level 6 module Box Set Drama - Writing for TV and lecture on Level 5 Screenwriting well as contributing to modules across both the Media and Creative Writing programmes. 

I am a practising screenwriter and experienced script consultant. My six part crime drama, The Level, created and written for ITV was screened in 2016. Additional credits include Shetland and Casualty for BBC One and two series of Leonardo for CBBC. As an editor and producer, I have supervised hundreds of prime time drama scripts into production for TV, including as a Series Editor for BBC Drama Series and at Thames Television and as Producer on two series of Casualty for the BBC.

I also teach the optional TV strand on the MA Screenwriting programme at the London Film School and am a regular visitor to the MA in Television and Film, Royal Holloway, London and currently External Examiner for the MA in Writing TV Fiction for Glasgow Caledonian University.

As a consultant, I am mentor to Canneseries Talent Unlimited, the development programme for new television writers from across Europe set up by Canal Plus/Vivendi with the Université Côte d'Azur in France.
