Mr Rentaro Nishimura

About

I am a multi-disciplinary educator, researcher and a practitioner in the field of product and jewellery design.

I am passionate about bridging the gap between craft and technology, employing digital fabrication processes such as 3D printing and laser-cutting at the core of my work. Informed by a background in architecture, I develop objects focusing on both the human body and interior spaces by experimenting with materials and geometric structures at varying scales.

My work has been stocked in many international museum and gallery shops including, Saatchi, MoMA, Tate, Barbican Centre, The Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre, Design Museum, GoMA, and Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.

For over a decade I have lectured and delivered workshops on various degree and Masters courses including, Cambridge University, University of the Arts London, Regent's University London, London Metropolitan University, and University for the Creative Arts.
