Mr Russell Weekes

About

My work has led me to cross creative disciplines - publishing, art-direction, design, video, photography, illustration, animation and education. Through working in this way, I have been fortunate to gather experience within a range of situations from art-direction for The Guardian, through to music video direction under the representation of Warp Films and various activities in independent publishing.

Prior to this position at Kingston School of Art, I have been a visiting lecturer on the Illustration Animation course and at London Metropolitan University on the Visual Communication course.

The reading and misreading of images, and the uses of visual language as a tool for communication are ongoing areas of investigation, both in my own work and my teaching.
