About

I am a lecturer and PhD student at Kingston Business School, I am working on my PhD project entitled "How can climate of inclusion, climate of trust, empowerment and diversity help employees and employers?" and I have completed my Master of Research in Business & Management. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science and Techniques and a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Catania (Italy). I have also worked as a visiting lecturer at University of the Creative Arts and University of Roehampton.

My main areas of research interest are diversity climate, diversity practices and inclusion climate. I have been involved in various research projects focused on supporting diversity at work, promoting inclusion, well-being and technology at work, and safety behaviours as a research assistant at Kingston Business School. I am currently collaborating on a project funded by the Leverhulme Trust on perceived safety in hospitality contexts by workers and customers. I also teach Psychology for Business and Management modules for undergraduate students, Wellbeing and Work, and Career Counselling and Training development for postgraduate students.

I have presented research focusing on diversity and inclusion in business and perceived safety in healthcare work settings for international conferences such as the EAWOP Congress organised by the European Association of Work and Organisational Psychology and the European Congress of Psychology arranged by the British Psychological Society.

Teaching and learning

During my teaching experience with undergraduate and postgraduate students, I developed my teaching skills based on pedagogical methods supported by research and tailored to fit students' needs. My interactive approach through the use of technology and business cases has been appreciated by students and colleagues leading to my being awarded the title of Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

My commitment in my three years of teaching at various universities to supporting student learning by following The UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in higher education have led me to be valued by fellow lecturers in the UK and Italy.

Business, knowledge transfer and international

During my PhD I have been involved in providing consultancy services for companies in Italy and the UK to investigate the effectiveness of their diversity and inclusion strategies. In addition, I have conducted individual and group career counselling sessions for students at the University of Turin.
