Ms Sadie Cook

About

I am an experienced interdisciplinary graphic designer, theatre maker and visual artist, working collaboratively and independently.

The majority of my output has been as a core artist with pioneers of multidisciplinary performance People Show. With them, I have taken part in education projects with LIPA, Hope Street University and the University of Roehampton on their professional practice modules, and mentored young producers starting out in the creative industry.

I have a longstanding collaboration with the artist & writer Bernadette Russell, with whom I have created various work including a poster project for Deptford Libraries and an Advent Calendar of Hope in 2020.

I have also been a Project Co-ordinator for Complicite and Lone Twin; with the former travelling to Helsinki, Thessaloniki, Tokyo, New York and Hammersmith, with the latter Brighton, Berlin and the Barbican.

Recently I have been researching and creating work with the Storybox Collective. The resulting pieces have been exhibited at venues including the William Morris Society (Beautiful / Useful - a flag celebrating a connection between William Morris and football) and Glyndebourne (Ways In - a video piece questioning how an audience might be introduced to opera, using verbatim text & samples from existing cultural works.)
