Biology

Our degrees in biosciences are accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) and reflect the latest developments and offers training in genetics, molecular biology, bioinformatics and evolutionary biology.

Practical studies will include a laboratory and/or field-based project, a data project or a systematic review, which might take place in a laboratory or an organisation outside the University.

Biochemistry

With a degree in biochemistry, you could help solve many of life's biggest challenges, by learning the molecular processes that control life, from molecules (such as DNA and proteins) and cells to the complex structures of whole organisms.

Our biochemistry course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) and provides a gateway for graduate entry to careers in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, forensics, medicine and teaching.

Biomedical science

Our biomedical science course provides first-hand experience of a busy research or diagnostic laboratory. This course is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and you'll have the opportunity to apply to register as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
