Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold award

Our commitment to high quality teaching has been recognised with a TEF Gold rating. The University has received an overall rating of Gold, as well as securing a Gold award in the framework's two new student experience and student outcomes categories.

Nursing

We excel in teaching nursing; we're ranked:

  • Top in England for Adult Nursing, Learning Disability Nursing and Nursing Associate*
  • No. 1 in London and No. 6 in the UK overall for Children's Nursing*

We have won two awards at the 2023 Student Nursing Times Awards, including Teaching Innovation of the Year for our simulated public health elective. This was part of our annual student nursing electives programme, which was also nominated for the Best Student Experience award, where students are supported to organise their own national or international placement of their choosing.

You'll benefit from learning in our award-winning simulation suite, which offers a wide range of realistic environments, including hospital wards and community settings, with service users who play patients or relatives.

You'll have the opportunity to apply your learning in a wide range of placements, including London's leading NHS hospitals as well as in community settings.

Once you graduate, you'll be recommended to the Nursing and Midwifery Council for professional registration.
