Arrivals and Orientation for Erasmus / European exchange students

We realise that arriving in a new country and meeting new people may be initially confusing and stressful as well as exciting. Our aim is to make sure that you are fully prepared for studying at Kingston by reading the pre-arrival guidance for international students and by attending the following events once you arrive.

Orientation

Topics covered include:

  • meeting the Study Abroad International Learning (SAIL) Office team, including its contact details and availability
  • details of your Faculty contacts (administrators and coordinators)
  • adjusting to successful learning and teaching in the UK/Kingston system
  • introducing the IT and library services
  • using public transport.

Faculty meetings

In addition to the above event, you will need to meet with your faculty Erasmus coordinator/administrator for your subject area. At this meeting, you can check the timetable for your study plan (modules) and finalise your learning agreement.

Your faculty should contact you about this meeting.

Enrolment

Enrolment is the event when you confirm your status as a Kingston University student and will receive your student identity card. There are two stages – the first part is done online and the second in person (identity check).
