We are so excited to welcome you to Kingston in September!
Your Welcome and Induction Week is just the start of helping to get you settled into the Kingston University family.
We understand you may be worried about how the coronavirus pandemic could affect you starting your studies with us, but rest assured we are all working hard to ensure you get off to the best possible start to your time at Kingston.
We're still working on some of the details, but your Welcome and Induction week will be made up of the following:
Our on-campus Welcome Help points should be your first stop if you have questions or are not sure where to go. We've got a wonderful bunch of friendly Student Ambassadors who will be ready to give you directions, answer your questions (or just have a chat!)
We've also got FREE Welcome to Kingston Starter packs which can be picked up from the Welcome Help points. They contain a notebook (designed by a KU student), pen, lanyard (for that all important ID card), an Oyster card holder and other useful stuff to get you started.
Welcome Help Points will be open from 9am to 4:30pm at the following locations:
Course inductions will take place online during the week of 20 to 24 September*. It is essential you attend this important introduction to your course where you will meet your lecturers, find out about the course, our libraries, study skills and more!
*Please also note: some courses start before 20 September; in this case you will be (or already have been) contacted by your faculty.
Your course induction schedule is now ready. Have a look at the schedule here.
The Welcome Programme runs alongside your course induction and you can pick and choose what you want to attend. The events will introduce you to some of the opportunities you'll have as a Kingston student, help you settle into life at Kingston and give you the opportunity to meet new friends and have some fun!
Our online Welcome to Kingston module will introduce you to the University and take you through the support available should you need it.
You will be able to access the online module from Wednesday 1 September via Canvas as long as you have completed your enrolment. We will be inviting you to complete your enrolment via email, so remember to keep an eye out for these important emails.
