Ms Wendy Baker

About

Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, I have worked as a senior designer in all sectors of the fashion industry, including Hobbs (where I set up the knit and jersey department), as a consultant for Kent and Curwen and IXI:Z and the renowned label Artwork. I established my own label Queene and Country (stocked in Fenwicks and a large number of independent boutiques in the UK) and TrueBritKnits, an online fashion knitwear business.

I taught BA Fashion at Central St Martins for 11 years, at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, the University of East London and the Royal College of Art MA in Fashion Knitwear for 12 years and have been teaching at Kingston School of Art for the last 3 years.

I have had work published by Rowan Yarns (including Classic Knits for Real Men, Knitting Goes Large and Scottish Inspirations), the US yarn company Quince and Co and for Debbie Bliss Magazine.
