Associate Professor in Creative Writing Dr Adam Baron has had his sixth book, Boy Underwater, chosen for the Reading Rampage shortlist. Reading Rampage is an initiative for schools run by the Schools Development Support Agency (SDSA).

Schools will receive one copy of the selected books before Christmas. The SDSA officially launches the Reading Rampage programme of activities with school staff on Thursday 31 January, when the remainder of their sets of books are delivered to the school for the pupils.

Adam's book also made it into the NetGalley's Top Ten books of 2018, was nominated for The Carnegie Medal, reached the longlist of the Redbridge Children's Award 2019 and was a Waterstones Book of the Month for June.

Adam, who is also the Course Director of Kingston's Creative Writing MA, loves to swim. 'My first ever memory is of falling into a swimming pool,' he says.
