Department of Performing Arts

Performing arts at Kingston offers a dynamic, exploratory environment. Many of our courses are relatively new, which means we are fresh, ambitious and innovative. Drama and dance students benefit from close associations with professional companies and theatres. Music students have lessons from top London professionals including legendary music producer, Tony Visconti. Our diverse performing arts students often participate in multidisciplinary performance projects which expose them to real-life experiences and develop their skills for future employment opportunities.

Our dance students collaborate with inspiring industry professionals like BalletBoyz and Dance West through in-house residencies and workshops.

Our drama students are taught classes and regularly perform at Kingston's Rose Theatre, the largest producing theatre in south west London. As well as gaining important industry awareness, they also benefit from the expertise of these professionals.

Music's Visconti Studio hosts internationally prestigious events, attracting high profile musicians and local performers.  Students have access to this analogue/digital hybrid studio, in a 300m2 live room, stocked with vintage and rare recording equipment.
