Having worked for some years in the both the NHS and the private health sector, I joined Kingston University in February 2021. Prior to this I was a Specialist Nurse - Organ Donation with NHS Blood and Transplant, with my primary background before that being in adult critical care. My career began in Ireland, where I gained my BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing from University College Cork before moving to the UK. I teach across both the BSc and MSc programmes, primarily on final-year pre-registration modules, as well as the Nursing Associate programme. I am also delighted to contribute to post-registration courses including the Emergency Care and Intensive Care elements of the Healthcare Practice BSc and MSc.
Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing
My current teaching is primarily focused on our final-year pre-registration nursing programmes where I am the module leader for Co-ordinating the Care of adults with Complex Healthcare Needs. I am also part of the teaching teams for Safe and Effective Quality Care in Adult Nursing and Leadership in Adult Nursing.
